1- Do plan your schedule so you know where you’re going and what you’re getting. This decreases stress and promotes a more efficient trip.
2- Do enjoy Thanksgiving and be thankful for what you have.
3- Do be polite and courteous. After all, it is the day after THANKSgiving.
4- Do go along with friends because shopping is fun!
5- Do drive safely because a day like this brings out some road rage. Be cautious and aware of what’s going on around you.
6- Do make time for a breakfast/lunch/dinner break depending on when and how long you’ll be out. Remember, we want to minimize the grouchiness and not create more by shopping hungry.
7- DO have fun!
1- Don’t bring your young kids. I promise they’ll get cranky and want to buy everything they see. Plus, if you leave them at home, Santa can do some shopping!
2- Don’t rush Thanksgiving planning for the day of deals.
3- Don’t bring a stroller. There will be enough people in the stores and you’ll most likely be trapped in one store the whole day trying to maneuver through the crowds, and you might miss all the good deals!
4- Don’t push or don’t get too carried away. Everyone is here for the same purpose, so just play by the rules.
5- Don’t splurge just because it’s on sale. Always ask yourself the question, “Do I really need this?”
6- Don’t forget about Cyber Monday. What’s better than shopping in your pjs?
7- DON’T be “that person.” You know what I’m talking about. “That person” who pushes. “That person” who complains. “That person” will not be you… EVER!
