Black Panthers Party and Lincoln University

The Black Panther Party or the BPP was a revolutionary black nationalist and socialist organization that opened in 1966 and ran until 1982. This organization helped a lot of communities. It started because of the police brutality with guns against black people, but they also gave free breakfasts to children, ran health clinics, and provided shoes for black children.

Lincoln University was founded in 1814 and was one of the nation’s first degree-granting historically black colleges and Universities. It was the first institution of higher education founded by African Americans. This led to the formation of 104 future universities founded by African Americans. It was renamed Lincoln University for the honor of Abraham Lincoln in 1866. Barack Obama, the first African American President, graduated from Lincoln University in 2009. During the first hundred years, Lincoln University graduated 20% of the countries African American physicians and 10% of the African American attorneys.
