DIY Stenciled Leaf Mug

Materials:

  • Glass paint in copper and pewter
  • Paint daubers
  • Paint brush
  • Self-adhesive leaf stencils
  • scraper/razor blade (optional for fixing up messes)
  • plain mug
  • craft mat/waxed paper

Directions:

1.Clean and dry the mug to start, then place the leaf stencil(s) on the mug, smoothing down all edges.

2.Squirt a bit of each color of glass paint onto a crafting mat or some waxed paper. Dip a paint dauber into the paint, and dab it onto a dry spot on the craft mat to remove excess paint. Once the excess paint is removed, carefully apply the paint to a leaf stencil. Alternate colors and stencils creating a checkerboard pattern all over the mug

3. When the whole mug is stenciled, the mug needs to be cure for the paint to be permanent and will be dishwasher safe. DIY found at http://www.handsoccupied.com/2013/11/how-to-stenciled-leaf-mug/
