Fast Times at Millbrook High

Christmas is approaching at an alarming rate and that means the end of another year or more importantly the end of the semester. It only feels like yesterday we started this school year off. However, somehow that was over four months ago. Now Christmas is less than a week away and it’s just absolutely the worst time of the year.

It should be a joyous time when people are celebrating the holiday season but yet it is such a stressful time for students because of all the countless finals and projects due at  the end of the semester. I can’t stand it. Alone, I have a had a final in every class, three projects and two essays. Instead of celebrating the holiday season, students stay indoors studying and doing work for classes. It really takes something away from the holiday season.

I hate to be that stereotypical teenager that hates school. Trust me, I do realize why we do need these finals but it still is such a pity that all this has to happen at once. I wish the teachers would  spread the work out more evenly and not simultaneously dump all their work into the same week.
