Winter sports are in full swing at Millbrook. Teams have been finalized and games have been played. Girls varsity basketball has played three games, all at home. The first was on November 29 against Kettle Run and they dominated 85 to 19. The second game was played on December 1 versus Osbourn, where they won 74 to 34. The third game was won by the Pioneers, 79-72, when they played William Fleming.
Their season has just started and they are off to an amazing start. “We play really well together, we know how to work as a team and how everyone fits together to make the team great,” said Carrington Nordin, a junior who is on her second year of being with the varsity team. “Our goal is to definitely get to states. Also to bond with the team more as a family.” They have another game tonight, November 6, at Liberty High School. Tip off is at 7:30. Come support these ladies as they compete to stay undefeated.
