Imani Major’s Major Signing

Imani Major signed as an athlete to the college of her choice on November 11th, 2015. She is going to Shepherd University to play volleyball next fall. Nearly 30 of her fellow students, as well as teachers, her parents and little sister were in attendance to witness this big event in her life. As a sophomore and a junior, Major was on the All-Conference 21 2nd team. Senior year, she was named Conference 21A Player of the Year and one of three players voted unanimously for first team.

“I am super happy to see how many people came to support me today,” said Major. She played outside hitter for Millbrook, but she will be switching to a defensive position at Shepherd. “Even though I love my team, I am so excited to be able to travel to different states at a more competitive level.”

The Millbrook team did an outstanding job this year and saying goodbye to one of their top players is hard, but seeing who steps up to fill the gap will be thrilling for everyone.
