Ms. Spitzer is a new teacher at Millbrook who teaches junior English. Her goal is to improve student writing this year. She has been teaching for seven years and has taught at the middle and high school levels. Since she is new she feels like “the awkward kid without a place to sit at lunch,” but the staff has been very welcoming so it’s been an easy transition.
Even outside of school her favorite thing to do is to grade papers “all day every day”. She has a Beagle named Angus, plus two cats named Grace and Socks. She has a daughter, Opal, who is sixteen months old. Her favorite books are the Dr. Seuss books because she loves to read them with her daughter. She became a teacher because her dad inspired her to have a higher education and to teach others.
