This year on September 24th, one of the most iconic albums of all time “Nevermind” turns twenty-five years old. The album kicked off the nineties with a bang. “Nevermind” was the second studio album for the Seattle grunge band Nirvana that came out in 1991. Nirvana created their very own unique type of sound that really made them different from any other band at the time. Over thirty million copies of the album have been sold in the past twenty-five years. One of the key reasons this album did so well was because it’s first track “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” “Smells Like Teen Spirit” shot up to the top of the billboard’s chart and the music video became very popular on MTV. The album also had other hit singles on it like “Lithium”, “In Bloom” and “Polly”. This album also helped to revive the Grunge movement in the early nineties and it influenced countless bands and artist.
