While many easterners were eating dinner on Saturday, a tornado touched down and tore through southeastern Florida. Although the storm only lasted seven minutes, the tornado caused damage to 178 structures and destroyed one home while three people were injured. No fatalities have been reported.
The storm moved in from the Gulf of Mexico and was created due to warm, moist, and unstable conditions. The tornado affected a total area of 12-square miles and had winds up to 135 miles per hour.
While those affected still remain repairing the damaged power lines and destroyed sewer station, they have high spirits.
