Let me just start off by saying I do not like Valentine’s Day; I don’t like the fact that this day mostly revolves around money, not love. Love doesn’t need to be shown with gifts and presents. It should be shown by affection and attention. Sure, it’s cool to receive little gifts from your significant other, but it doesn’t feel as nice as if they were to make something for you. People say it’s the thought that counts, and I agree. More thought is put into things that are handmade, not some product mass produced in a factory to turn a profit. But what doesn’t make sense is how they want there to be a single day to focus on love. Shouldn’t that be every day? Valentine’s Day is just another money grab for companies. This is probably one of the more unpopular opinions, but it is how I feel.
